The Austrian city of Klagenfurt hosts the Beachvolleyball Grand Slam, one of the premium beach volleyball events in Europe. Renowed for its friendly party atmosphere, the event attracts thousands of fans every year to the stunning Worthersee lake.
While the teams battle it out, there are plenty of opportunities to watch matches and enjoy the Austrian summer. Entrance is free and the stadium is open from 8.30am. However, because spaces are limited and usually oversubscribed you can buy a ticket in advance, guaranteeing early entrance at 7.30am.
