Vienna gets its skates on for the annual Austria Skate Marathon, held in the vast Prater park, where the only prerequisite for participants is a good sense of balance!
One of the best ways to discover Vienna's hidden corners, the Austria Skate Marathon combines sightseeing with keeping fit. Kicking off early on Sunday morning, the programme comprises a 42km race with separate categories for men and women, as well as a 21km fitness run, a 10km fun run and team races. Open-air concerts entertain skaters and spectators.
