The World Superbike Championship comes to the Phillip Island Circuit in Victoria. The three-day biking spectacular ends on the Sunday with the second round of both the Superbike World Championships and the Supersport World Championship.

The Superbike Championship vies with the Road Racing World Championship (Moto GP) to be the world's premier motorcycle competition. The attraction of the Superbikes is that they are all based on production models, so the fans can identify with the bikes on show. They are also closing the gap on the Moto GP bikes in terms of speed and acceleration. On some courses the respective lap records are extremely close.

Phillip Island is a marvellous modern motorsport complex, with superb facilities for spectators, and has staged a Superbike round every year since 1994.
