Held in one of Queensland's finest vineyards on the Ballandean Estate, the annual opera offers the chance to enjoy world-class performances in a delightful setting among the vines. Gourmet food and, of course, fine wine provide the perfect supplements.

The day consists of lunch in the marquee, the performance and then dinner and dancing. You can book for lunch, dinner or both and the performance consists of arias from a variety of operas, topped by songs from the musicals.

The performers are professional opera singers who donate their services in aid of the Stanthorpe Rotary Club's fund-raising venture, the major beneficiary being the Wesley Hospital in Brisbane. Money raised in previous years has helped the hospital's cancer clinic, including the Leukaemia Foundation Bone Marrow Transplant Unit.

A definite treat for lovers of the finer things in life - and in a very good cause too! Booking opens in mid-February and the event is a guaranteed sell-out - that's about 1000 for lunch and 1200 for dinner, so you can understand the need to book early!
