First held in 2000, the Coolum Kite Festival now spreads its wings high above Stumers Creek over two days. Everybody is invited to come and fly their kites, while other exhilarating activities include kite surfing.
The festival includes the best of Australian kite surfers in competition in the Coolum Beach waves, as well as the kite flyers, crafts and food stalls on the sand. Pray for some strong spring winds and head down to the beach for some colourful fun.
