This large picnic race meeting at Burrandowan Race Track has been going strong since 1923, and the tradition continues today with with a five-race programme and activities throughout the day, starting with a clay target shooting competition.
As well as full three-State betting facilities and on-course bookmakers at the track, for those who want more than just the racing there is Fashion on the Field, with local Kinagory shops putting on a fashion parade. Bar and food stalls run throughout the day and in the evening the traditional Burrandowan Races Pit Fire BBQ is accompanied by live music and dancing under the stars.
For those wanting to make more than a day of it, free camping facilities are available at the track and there's a bush breakfast on Sunday morning.
