Every weekend the park in front of Recoleta Cemetery and the excellent Recoleta Cultural Centre transform into Recoleta Market, home to stalls laden with leather goods, handicrafts and trinkets.
Many of the goods could be considered hippy-ish - the dangling dream-catchers and the wooden jewellery for example - in contrast with the very well-to-do area and its impeccably-dressed locals walking their dogs.
